Delete your handback account

handback is published by Rad Soft, Inc. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time — you don't need to ask us.

Only want to remove a package or an address? Delete some of your data without closing your account.

From the app

Open handback and go to Settings.
Scroll to Danger zone.
Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period and no reactivation — signing up again creates a new, empty account.

If you can't open the app

Email hello@radsoftinc.com from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We'll confirm once it's done, within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account, name, and email address
Your home address and any other names you receive mail under
Photos you took of package labels, including the stored files
Packages you reported finding, and any matches involving you
Your notifications and notification settings
Your saved devices and push tokens
Your identity-verification records
Your sign-in sessions and linked Google or Apple credentials

What is kept, and why

Two things outlive the account, and both are stripped of the link back to you — your user ID is removed from them, leaving no way to tie the record to a person.

Safety reports.If someone reported you, or you reported someone, the report survives without either party's identity. Deleting your account otherwise erases a report made against you, which would make the report system worth nothing.
Handoff history. A record that a package changed hands, with no names, addresses, photos, or accounts attached. It exists so a dispute about a package can still be answered.

Backups are kept for 30 days for disaster recovery and then age out. Deleted data may persist in a backup until then, but is not restored to the live service.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete everything. From inside handback:

To remove a package you uploaded: open it from your uploads and choose Delete this upload. That removes the package, its label photos, and any match it created. Your account is untouched.
To remove or change your home address: go to Settings → Home address and replace it. The previous address is no longer used for matching.
To remove a name you receive mail under: go to Settings → Names on your mail and delete it.

Each of these takes effect immediately. If you'd rather we did it, email hello@radsoftinc.com from the address you signed up with and say what you want removed; we'll confirm within 30 days.

Guest use

You can find and return packages without an account. If you never signed in, there is nothing to delete — uninstalling the app ends the anonymous session it created, and any packages you uploaded can be removed individually beforehand.
